The new Yocto Dunfell LinRT BSP v3.0 on the way…
Scheduled for the end of March 2021 in Release Candidate 1, the Yocto Dunfell LinRT Helium BSP v3.0-rc1 i.MX6Q/DL, i.MX 8M and i.MX 8M-mini platforms is testing since the beginning of 2021…
This new 3.0 Release will be based on :
- Yocto Dunfell 3.1.4
- FSL/NXP Linux kernel 5.4.2.2.x
- Qt 5.15 LTS by default, with Qt 6.1 as optional for the final release
The Yocto Dunfell LinRT Oxygen and Mercury Low-Latency BSP v3.0-rc1 will be available end of February 2021 for i.MX6Q/DL, i.MX 8M and i.MX 8M-mini, and the LinRT Cobalt BSP v3.0-rc1 for x86 in March 2021.
The Backward compatibility with LinRT BSP v2.x will be assumed by possibilities to keep the Linux kernel 4.14.2.3.x and bootloader revisions identically used by LinRT BSP v2.x, for customers who want to have the possibility to upgrade their solution gradually to version 3.x
The LinRT Helium BSP v3.0-rc1 demo images will be provided on-demand only, first for the Phytec’s SBCs :
Notes :
- The source code accesses for Yocto Dunfell LinRT BSP v3.0-rc1 revision will be reserved for the HelpDesk Premium Subscriptions.
- The LinRT BSP v2.x will be supported until the end of 2022.
